Marisa Downey

Marisa has been working with animals since 2009. She began at McKamey, learning the Veterinary Assistant basics as well as animal behavior. She then moved on to a local Vet hospital where she worked her way up from Kennel all the way to Surgical Assistant! Marisa lives with her husband, son, their 2 dogs, Tiki and Rajah, as well as a cute little Bearded Dragon named Holmes.

“I have loved and wanted to care for animals since I was able to walk. I remember sitting outside my Dad’s shed, meowing like a cat to try and get some feral kittens to come out so I could play with them and take them inside to keep! My love for animals has continued to grow. I have a passion for helping and caring for animals and educating their Owners.”
