Morgan Osborn

Morgan is currently working as a veterinary assistant while pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Upon completion of her undergraduate studies, Morgan aspires to attend veterinary school and become a multi-species veterinarian and veterinary parasitology specialist!

Since early 2017, Morgan has dedicated her career to developing pre-veterinary medical skills. She entered the veterinary field as a veterinary assistant/kennel technician and progressed to become a veterinary assistant/technician through years of training and practice. Additionally, she has served in various roles to expand her experiences to other animal species including a research assistant/farm hand for large animals, interpretive guide for the Nashville Zoo’s veterinary center for zoological species, and continued zoological species experience as a birthday party attendant for the Chattanooga Zoo’s education department. Since early 2021, Morgan has been thankful for the opportunity to return to small animal medicine as a team member at Shallowford Animal Hospital!

Morgan loves veterinary medicine because it has provided her with many incredible opportunities to continuously be the best advocate she can be for all animals. Not only does she strive to provide the best care for animals, but she also yearns to serve humans as well. From her experiences in the field, Morgan has developed a fascination with zoonoses, diseases that are transmitted between animals and humans. Through veterinary medicine, she is able to contribute to One Health, which consists of animals, humans, and the earth’s many ecosystems, by researching zoonotic diseases from all animal species.

Morgan lives with her amazing husband, three cats (Joker, Nygma, and Kyle), and two dogs (Sandor and Logan). Between school and work, Morgan enjoys spending time with her husband and their fur babies, watching her comfort television shows, and taking naps!
